On June 10, 2021, Researcher Haiou Wang from Zhejiang University, was invited to give an academic report in the 1517 lecture hall of Institute for Energy Research.

Researcher Haiou Wang introduced the effect of interaction among turbulence, fuel, chemical reaction and solid wall in turbulent combustion on the efficiency, pollutant emission and stability in industrial combustion devices. And based on his recent research progress, he shared the following three research results with audiences: (1) Structure and dynamic characteristics of flame edges in turbulent non-premixed combustion; (2) The interaction mechanism and prediction model between turbulent premixed flame and wall surface; (3) Machine learning method and its application in turbulent combustion modeling. After the lecture, Researcher Haiou Wang had a warm exchange and discussion with the teachers and students.
