On Oct. 19th, Prof. Xuping Sun, professor of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences, visited Jiangsu University and delivered lecture named “The novel designment and performance of non-precious metal electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution”. Prof. Sun was hired part-time professor of Jiangsu University. Prof. Huaming Li and Zhixia He, the vice presidents of the Institute for Energy Research, awarded the certificate to the part-time professor of Jiangsu University.
Prof. Xuping Sun was the researcher and doctoral tutor of Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences. He focuses on the synthesis of functional materials and the application in energy, analysis and environment. Prof. Sun has ever engaged in postdoctoral research in the Department of Chemistry of Konstanz University in Germany, the Department of pharmacology of Toronto University in Canada, and the department of chemistry of Purdue University in the United States. Prof. Sun won the National Excellent Doctor Dissertation of China in 2008 and was selected into Innovation and Entrepreneur Program of Jilin in 2010. In 2011, Prof. Sun was hired as adjunct professor of Chemistry and Advanced Materials Research Center of King Abdulaziz University in Saudis. He has published more than 200 academic papers on top journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Adv. Mater., Small, ACS Catal., Anal. Chem., Chem. Mater., Chem. Commun., Biosen. Bioelectron, Nanoscale and so on.
