On May 18, Prof. Sheng Dai, from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the University of Tennessee, America, visited Jiangsu University. He have given an informative and interesting seminar at lecture hall of School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. His subject concentrated on the controllable construction of mesoporous carbon and its application in the field of energy. He detailed introduced the application of carbon materials in the field of catalytic and energy storage/conversion. At the last, Prof. Dai in depth communicated with the audiences in the academic angle, which the audiences have benefited greatly.
　　Prof. Dai got his PhD in 1990 from the University of Tennessee. His research direction involves mesoporous carbon and oxides, nano-catalysts and their application in energy storage. Prof. Dai has published academic paper more than 500 such as Nature Materials, Nature Nanotechnology, Nature Communication, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition and Advanced Materials, etc. His h-index reaches to 69, and he also has 16 UPS about the application of mesoporous carbon materials and molten salt in the field of energy.
