On 14th Jun, 2015, Dr Wenjun Luo was invited to give a lecture on the topic “Efficient and low-cost photoelectrodes for solar water splitting” for the faculty and graduates from IER.
　　Dr Luo is an associate research professor of Institute of Advanced Materials, Nanjing Tech University. He got his first degree from Nanjing University in 2003, then a Ph.D in Material Science and Engineering in 2008 from same university. Dr Luo held a post-doc position at School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Nanjing University from Dec 2018 to Nov 2011; and was subsequently appointed as associate research professor at School of Physics of Nanjing University (Dec 2011-Aug 2014). Dr Luo was involved in the research of photoelectrochemical water splitting for solar hydrogen production since 2006. For his outstanding research work, Dr Luo has published more than 40 papers in SCI top journals, such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.(cover paper)、Energy Environ. Sci.、Adv. Energy Mater.、Adv. Funct. Mater.、J. Phys. Chem. C.、Phys. Chem. Chem. Phys.、Electrochem. Comm.、J. Mater. Chem. A and Appl. Phys. Lett, of which 20 papers were published as first or corresponding author, 4 ESI high-cited papers and over 1200 citations in total. Also, Dr Luo has got 5 China patent applications, 3 of which were authorized. And he took the first prize of science and technology of Jiangsu in 2012, hosted one NSFC project and participated in two “973” projects.
