On 19th October, the opening ceremony of Sino-Thai Joint Laboratory on Energy and Innovation was in Jiangsu University conference center held during the opening ceremony of 22nd Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium. Prof. Shouqi Yuan, the president of Jiangsu University, and the president of Chiang Mai University Niwes Nantachit inaugurated Sino-Thai Joint Laboratory on Energy and Innovation.
Energy, one of the important issues of Tri-U International Joint Seminar & Symposium, interested more and more participants over the past 20 years. As the platform of the academic exchanges, the symposium greatly promotes the international cooperation in the field of energy among researchers and young students. Based on the close cooperative relationship established in the symposium, the participants of the scientists have the opportunity to participate in the bilateral and multilateral cooperation projects and access to get support from national research institute.
During the opening ceremony, the president of Chiang Mai University Niwes Nantchit and the president of Jiangsu University Shouqi Yuan said that the establishment of Sino-Thai Joint Laboratory on Energy and Innovation will greatly promote the international cooperation in the field of energy among researchers and young scholars. In the 21st century, energy innovation is an interdisciplinary research field and has broad prospects for international cooperation. They look forward that Sino-Thai Joint Laboratory on Energy and Innovation can further develop as the platform of creative research on multilateral cooperation across disciplines.
As the responsible persons of the joint laboratory, Prof. tanongkiat of Chiang Mai University and Prof. Junfeng Wang of Jiangsu University accompanied with the two presidents. Prof. Long Chen, the vice president of our school, relevant persons from Department of Science and Technology, International Office, Overseas Education College and Institute for Energy Research, associated professors from Chiang Mai University, Chiang Rai Rajabhat University, Laka first Royal Institute of Technology and Meizhou University participated in the opening ceremony.
