International Well-Known Energy Experts Visited Jiangsu University

  Invited by Institute for Energy Research, three international well-known energy experts, Prof. Dennis Leung from Hong Kong University, Prof. Michael Leung from City University of Hong Kong, Prof. Meng Ni from Hong Kong Polytechnic University attended a seminar organized by Jiangsu University. Teachers and students from Institute for Energy Research, School of Energy and Power Engineering, School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering, and Jiangsu University of Science and Technology attended the seminar.

  In the seminar, Prof. Dennis Leung and Prof. Michael Leung made a presentation on ‘Novel reversible dual electrolyte microfluidic cell for the conversion of CO2 to fuels’ and ‘Reinforcement of solar photocatalysis for fuel cells’, respectively. The experts made wonderful reviews on the on-going projects of our Institute, and had an extensive discussion on the long-term cooperation with Institute for Energy Research.

  Prof. Dennis Leung’s research interests mainly focus on environmental remediation and renewable energy. He has published 210 SCI articles with more than 10000 citations; his h-index is up to 45. From 2010, Prof. Dennis Leung has been ranked as ESI 1% highly cited scientists, and he is also the editor or editorial board member of more than 10 international high impact journals.
  
  Prof. Michael Leung is vice-Dean of the College of Energy and Environment, City University of Hong Kong. Up to now, his research funding has been more than 16 million HKD, and he has published more than 110 SCI papers.
  
  Prof. Meng NI mainly works on solid state metal oxides fuel cells, and has published 90 SCI papers with more than 3000 citations. He is the vice-Editor of Sustainable Energy Technologies and Assessment as well as Science Bulletin.
