Prof. Xuchuan Jiang from Monash University visited Jiangsu University on 5th Jan. 2016. During the visit, Prof. Jiang delivered a lecture entitled ‘Engineering VO2 nanoparticles for energy and environmental applications’.

In the lecture, Prof. Jiang illustrated the issues on how to design nanoparticles for the wide application on energy and environment. He also introduced the study of VO2 nanoparticles for intelligent window coating and reviewed the VO2 from preparation strategies, film deposition to its functionalization. After that, he had an extensive discussion with professors from Institute for Energy Research on further cooperation in this field, which would play an important role in building a good platform for international cooperation.
Dr. Xuchuan Jiang is the Professor of Monash University and has published over 100 papers in the top journals including Nano Lett., Adv. Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Small with the total citation number over 4,200. For his contributions, his h-index reaches 32 and he received Australia Research Council (ARC) Future Fellow and ARC Queen Elizabeth II Fellow in 2009.
