主讲简介：Lindiwe Khotseng，南非西开普大学化学系教授，南非国家研究基金会（NRF）C2级评级研究人员，获南非斯泰伦博斯大学博士学位，在电化学、电催化及可持续能源材料领域拥有二十余年的研究经验。主要研究方向包括燃料电池与储能用纳米材料、生物质及废弃物催化转化，以及绿色、低成本的生物质衍生电催化剂和载体材料开发，致力于推动循环经济与低碳能源技术发展。已发表同行评议期刊论文、书籍章节及编著等成果100余篇（部）。主持NRF、金砖国家合作项目、南非电力公司（Eskom）及产业合作伙伴资助的多项研究计划，与非洲、欧洲、亚洲及美国的研究机构建立了广泛合作。培养了多名硕士、博士及博士后研究人员，积极支持女性和青年科技人才成长，并长期参与国际学术会议、期刊编辑与同行评审工作。

主讲内容简介： This talk will explore the integration of waste valorisation with green energy technologies, focusing on advanced electrocatalytic materials for sustainable fuel cells, energy conversion, and storage. Particular attention will be given to developing low-cost electrocatalysts and support materials from biomass and waste. It will discuss how tailoring material composition, nanostructure, and surface properties can improve catalytic activity, reactant transport, and operational stability. Applications in fuel cells and batteries will illustrate the relationships between material structure and electrochemical performance, alongside key considerations in catalyst design and evaluation. The talk will also address the catalytic conversion of biomass and waste into clean energy carriers, highlighting opportunities and challenges related to resource efficiency, environmental sustainability, and scale-up. Finally, it will outline future directions for integrating waste valorisation with electrochemical energy technologies.
